Planning your wedding

We have had the opportunity to work with some amazing couples over the years, we have captured the story of their love, walked with them through their special day, and watched their love grow as they start their journey together in life. We have seen brides who plan their special day for more than a year away. Meticulously choosing every detail from the rustic venue, to the burlap tablecloths covering every table. Centerpieces are crafted to be different, each having a message. From the candles to the white distressed birdcage holding flickering tealights, you know she is portraying a particular theme and look for her wedding.

Live-with-purpose

Then, we’ve had brides inquire about their wedding 8 weeks away. They too plan their day to the very detail. Flowers in vases offset the napkins carefully placed by each name card. You know she’s inviting her friends and family to go on this journey into the fairytale of her and her prince charming. Both brides have purpose. Both brides have direction and a vision for what they want. They simply approach their purpose in different ways.

Live-with-purpose-2

Life is like these brides in many ways. We plan for our future long before it comes. Doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, athlete’s all spend countless years and money on prepping for their careers, they approach their dream with purpose. Whether you have planned your life far in advance or living day to day you must have purpose. The old saying, “People don’t plan to fail they just fail to plan,” rings true whether you’re a bride preparing for your big day, a dad planning your kids college fund, or a student deciding what you want to do!

The Bible explains this by referencing the construction of a building in Luke 14 (NKJV) 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? “

Live your life with purpose.

Don’t just work at a job to make money. We’ve all been there. Find a career that wakes you up before your alarm goes off! Pursue your dreams in your spare time even if you’re not in your dream job. Before you build that tower, (choose a career, plan your wedding, choose your Photographer) sit down, count the cost, and make sure you have the purpose for what you’re doing.

Have purpose in your current situation.

We all want the fairytale wedding, we want the glass palace, the horse drawn carriage, doves to fly by as we kiss for the first time, & we all want the perfect job! For years I have been waiting for the job where I sit at home in my pjs watching movies or playing video games all day for 250K a year, but I haven’t gotten the call yet! While you are in that job that you don’t like, while you’re looking for that venue that isn’t Cinderella’s castle, give purpose to your current surroundings. Be the best employee that’s ever worked a job you hate! Make your wedding the happiest day of your life and leave it to us to capture the beauty of the venue! Do everything you can do with what you have. If you always look to what you don’t have, you will trip over what’s one step in front of you.
